"The uniqueness of a work of art is inseparable from its being imbedded in the fabric of tradition"
'Walter Benjamin'
Objects broken down to their simplest form are worked through taking on a layering of object and subsequently colour. From this a concept of repetitive sequencing is appropriated for a desired mapping of imagery. Through disguising the object from the original form the attempt is to reposition it as a traditionally viewed still life.
Process is a fundamental aspect which is taught and learnt through the experience. The work being produced has stemmed from this association in joining practice, theory & technique so that all become embedded into one existence. It is in these possibilities that the thread which ties the work into existence becomes evident.
