Jason Pinder is a visual artist based in Cardiff, UK. His work is generally installation, sculpture or somewhere in between and is currently working on his first curatorial position.
Jason's work usually incorporates every day objects, quite often those associated with industry (Bricks, Electrical cable, Pallets etc) This is directly linked to the subject of most of his work; which is, quite often, 'work'. Whether sanding a desk or stacking pallets, the work always has an element of labour or endurance. Any meaning is often held in the apparent pointlessness to these tasks. Ritualistic, obsessive and heavy handed as this way of working may seem, Jason creates his objects and installations with sensitivity and great attention to the concepts and aims of a piece.
